From the Breach
Throngs of men, reportedly in honor of the late local sports broadcast legend Buddy Diliberto who said he would wear a dress if the New Orleans Saints made it into the Super Bowl, paraded from the Superdome to the French Quarter on Jan. 31.
The Levee, however, was hard-pressed to find any in the crowd who had ever heard of Diliberto.
One of the men, Bobby Hebert of New Orleans, simply sang out, "I feel pretty!" as others cheered his strutting in the Quarter.
"Just another quiet Sunday," one police officer said.
